SEC Tarlac offers certification exams for aspiring Capital Market Professionals
Individuals pursuing careers in the securities industry in Northern and Central Luzon can now take their certification examinations at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Tarlac Extension Office in Brgy. San Sebastian, Tarlac City, without traveling to the SEC Head Office in Makati City.
Since July 2026, the SEC Tarlac has been conducting online certification examinations through the SEC Automated Certification Examination System (SEC ACES), with examinees taking the examinations onsite at the SEC Tarlac Extension Office under the supervision of SEC personnel.
Passing the certification examination is mandatory if you aspire to become Certified Investment Solicitors (CIS) or Mutual Fund Salesmen, Equity Securities Salesmen (ESS) for stock market trading, Fixed Income Market Salesmen (FIMS) for bonds and other fixed-income securities, and Compliance Officers or Associated Persons (CO/AP) for Broker-Dealers in the Equities Market.
“By bringing the certification examinations closer to our clients in Northern and Central Luzon, we are making the process more accessible and convenient for individuals who want to pursue opportunities in the capital market industry,” SEC Tarlac Director Richard R. Laus said in a statement.
Examinees may take Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the certification examination, with a fee of ₱1,500 per examination schedule. The SEC also conducts webinar sessions to equip examinees with the foundational and specialized knowledge needed in preparing for the examination.
“We encourage professionals, fresh graduates, and other interested individuals to take advantage of this opportunity and explore a career in the capital market. Through SEC ACES, we continue to expand access to certification examinations across the regions and help strengthen the Philippine capital market,” Director Laus added.
