GR Bank celebrates 70th year

Guagua Rural Bank, Inc. celebrated its 70th year on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at the Premium Tower Ballroom, Royce Hotel & Casino, inside the Clark Freeport Zone.

The Platinum Anniversary with the theme: “Icon of Stability. Legacy of Strength” marks the GRBank’s 70 years of great banking that had contributed to countryside development. GRBank Chief Operating Officer & Senior Executive Vice President Elizabeth Carlos-Timbol said the Guagua Rural Bank, Inc. has stood as a “beacon of stability, embodying the essence of strength in the financial landscape in the past seven decades.”

“As we look back on our rich history from humble beginnings, Guagua Rural Bank has grown into a trusted institution, serving as a cornerstone of financial security for generations, which started at a corner street near the Public Market to where we stand today at the heart of the bustling first class Municipality of Guagua to the diverse locations in Region III where we are strategically situated,” Carlos-Timbol said.

GRBank, a family-owned rural bank, established in March 8, 1954, has endured the tests of time. “Our legacy of stability is rooted in prudent management, foresight, and an unyielding dedication to the well-being of those we serve,” according to Carlos-Timbol.

“Over the years, we reaffirm our commitment to provide the best service to our clients. We’ve weathered storms and navigated through economic uncertainties, emerging stronger and more resilient each time. Our steadfast approach to banking has earned us the trust and confidence of our customers, who rely on us for their financial needs, both big and small,” said Carlos-Timbol.

Carlos-Timbol, who is currently the president of the Metro Angeles Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (MACCI) further said: “Our impact extends beyond the realm of banking. The GRBank’s Board of Directors comprises professionals with extensive experience and expertise in the field of banking, accounting, finance, law, education, business, and marketing.

Presidential adviser Frederick Go, Investment and Economic Affairs, keynoted the celebration. Also attended the event former DENR secretary Mike Defensor, former DA secretaries Senen Bacani and William Dar, and Clark Development Corp President Agnes Devanadera.
