CLTV36 Editorial Board to scrutinize failed infrastructure projects in Central Luzon, demands transparency
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – The CLTV36 Editorial Board today announced its full commitment to upholding its duty as the Fourth Estate by actively scrutinizing President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s directive, as articulated in his recent State of the Nation Address (SONA), regarding the preparation of a comprehensive list of infrastructure projects marred by high-level corruption and subsequent failure.
In alignment with the President’s call for accountability and transparency, CLTV36 will prioritize the investigation of all such projects within the Central Luzon region. We believe that the people of Central Luzon deserve to know the truth behind the millions, if not billions, of pesos allocated for development that ultimately failed to deliver on their promise. These are public funds, and the public has an undeniable right to know how they were mismanaged or embezzled.
To effectively fulfill this crucial role, the CLTV36 Editorial Board demands immediate and unfettered access to all pertinent documents related to these failed infrastructure projects. This includes, but is not limited to, project proposals, feasibility studies, bidding documents, contracts, disbursement records, audit reports, and any investigative findings from relevant government agencies. We call upon all government bodies and officials involved to cooperate fully and provide these documents to our investigative journalists without delay or impediment.
CLTV36 pledges to the public that we will meticulously examine every single project on this list within Central Luzon. Our dedicated team of journalists will scrutinize the details, interview key stakeholders, and uncover the root causes of these failures, holding those responsible accountable. We will shed light on the truth, no matter how inconvenient, and ensure that the voices of those affected by these failed projects are heard.
This initiative is a testament to our unwavering commitment to public service and our profound belief in the power of an informed citizenry. We will publish our findings across all CLTV36 platforms, ensuring that the public is fully aware of the extent of the problem and the steps being taken (or not taken) to address it.
CLTV36 stands ready to perform its duty as the Fourth Estate, serving as a vigilant watchdog against corruption and a champion for transparency and good governance. We urge the public to join us in this endeavor by sharing any information or insights they may have regarding failed infrastructure projects in Central Luzon.
