Can you spot the vivo X300 FE shot?
MANILA, PHILIPPINES – At first glance, two smartphone photos of the same scene can look almost identical, but look a little closer, and subtle differences in color, detail, depth, and texture begin to emerge.
To put this to the test, the vivo X300 FE went head-to-head with the iPhone 17 in a real-world photography comparison. Both devices captured the same subjects under the same conditions, with all images presented straight out of the camera, no filters or post-processing.
The first comparison focuses on color, particularly the subtle tones and textures that can easily get lost in smartphone processing.
With ZEISS professional color tuning, the vivo X300 FE is designed to deliver natural and consistent color reproduction, preserving the distinction between warm amber and terracotta tones while retaining the texture of the beige canvas.
Rather than simply amplifying colors, the imaging system is tuned to maintain a more balanced representation of the scene, making everyday subjects look natural and true to life.
Highly saturated colors can be challenging to capture without losing texture and detail.
In the red lantern comparison, the vivo X300 FE maintains the vibrancy of the subject while preserving details across the lantern’s surface and golden cap, demonstrating its approach to handling intense colors without excessive saturation.
With ZEISS professional color tuning, the vivo X300 FE delivers natural and consistent colors in the still life. It clearly captures the differences between amber and terracotta, while preserving the fine texture of the beige canvas. With the red lanterns, it maintains vivid colors while avoiding oversaturation. Details such as the lantern’s surface texture and golden cap also remain clear.
Rather than simply making colors more vivid, the vivo X300 FE focuses on balance and accuracy, helping food, street scenes, and everyday still life looks more natural.
A city skyline shrouded in mist creates a challenging scene, with strong differences in brightness between the sky, buildings, and distant details. It puts both detail resolution and dynamic range to the test.
The vivo X300 FE features a 50MP ZEISS Super Telephoto camera with 3x, 10x, and 20x zoom. It brings distant subjects closer while preserving more detail in faraway buildings. Zoom in, and window frames remain clearly visible. Even darker areas retain rich detail instead of falling into deep black, making the image feel more natural and true to life.
For portraits, the goal isn’t simply to make a subject look polished. It’s about preserving the details that make the image feel authentic.
The vivo X300 FE combines a professional 85mm portrait focal length with refined portrait algorithms to balance skin tones, texture, and background separation. Hair and clothing details remain defined, while skin retains a natural, radiant appearance without relying on excessive beautification.
