Anne Curtis shares her vivo V80 experience
MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Actress and vivo celebrity ambassador Anne Curtis shared how the vivo V80 supports her photography habits, travels, and busy schedule during the smartphone’s Grand Launch at Grand Hyatt Manila on October 30, 2026.
In a conversation with hosts KC Montero and Nicole Anderson, Curtis talked about capturing spontaneous moments, taking portraits, and having a phone that can keep up with her activities as an actress, traveler, and mother.
For Curtis, photography is not just about getting the perfect shot. While she enjoys capturing beautiful landscapes, city lights, sunsets, and even food, she also values photographs that happen naturally. She said she approaches photography with a mix of planning and spontaneity, allowing moments to unfold while relying on the vivo V80 to capture them.
“The best photos aren’t the ones planned, aren’t set up, aren’t pa-aesthetic. It’s the ones that come out naturally,” Curtis said, describing her approach to taking photos while traveling.
Her photography routine also involves switching between being behind and in front of the camera. As a mother, she enjoys documenting family moments, but she also makes sure to get the shots she wants when someone else is taking her picture.
The vivo V80 has a 50MP ZEISS Super Telephoto Camera with ZEISS 85mm and 100mm Center-Stage Portraits. When asked about her preferred portrait setting, Curtis chose the vivo V80’s ZEISS 100mm Center-Stage Portrait option, particularly for its ability to isolate subjects and create a soft, dreamy background. She noted that the feature is useful when taking photos in crowded locations, where minimizing background distractions can help create more focused portraits.
“It’s so hard to choose one (between ZEISS 85mm or 100mm Center-Stage Portraits), especially when you’re in a crowded location. You kind of just want to make sure that you clean out the noise and make it a beautiful shot without too many distractions in the background,” she said.
Beyond photography, Curtis highlighted battery life as an important consideration in choosing a smartphone, particularly given the demands of her work and daily activities. The vivo V80 comes with a 7200mAh BlueVolt battery, which she said gives her more flexibility when taking photos, recording videos, and navigating unfamiliar places throughout the day.
“It’s super important, especially in my line of work. It’s so inconvenient to always have a power bank with you. It’s also a hassle if you have to keep looking for a socket,” Curtis said. “You can spend time making memories and less time worrying about your battery.”
The actress also pointed to the phone’s IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance as a practical feature for outdoor activities, particularly beach trips. Proud of the Philippines’ beaches, she said the added protection gives her greater peace of mind when bringing her phone along on outdoor adventures.
Her experience filming on location also makes durability an important consideration. During the conversation, she recalled working in different environments for her projects, where exposure to various elements is part of the job.
Following the interview, Curtis joined vivo executives in hanging vivo V80 devices and the upcoming vivo X500 Pro Max, marking the approaching holiday promotion.
“Anne’s experience reflects how people use their smartphones beyond taking pictures, from documenting family milestones and traveling to managing the demands of a full day. With the vivo V80, we want to give users practical features that support these everyday experiences,” said Liu Lu, vivo Philippines Brand Marketing Director.
