2,930 jobs offered at Clark job fair; 25 hired on the spot
CLARK FREEPORT — A total of 2,930 job vacancies were opened during the job fair organized by the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on January 9 at the Clark Events and Conference Hall. Twenty‑five applicants were hired on the spot. Â

The fair gathered 236 jobseekers and 29 locators from industries such as Information Communications Technology (ICT), tourism, services, industrial, commercial, and aviation.
CDC President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera guided the initiative, with CDC Vice President for Administration and Finance Jose Miguel de la Rosa representing her during the program.
“Ang welfare ng tao, locators o mga empleyado ay paramount o nangunguna sa interest ng Clark Development Corporation,” de la Rosa said.
DOLE Regional Office 3 Director Geraldine Panlilio called for continued collaboration. “Pagkakaisahan po natin ang magagandang programa para sa ikabubuti ng manggagawang Pilipino at para sa ikasusulong ng mas progresibo at produktibong Clark Development Corporation at Clark Freeport Zone,” she said. Former employees of Charter Link Clark, Inc. and La Rose Noire Philippines, Inc. were among the attendees. “Madali po ang processing dito sa job fair na inorganize ng CDC at DOLE. Naka‑save po kami ng oras, maraming salamat po sa pagkakataong ito,” said Corazon Austria, a former Charter Link employee.
Other applicants noted the convenience of having multiple employers in one venue. “Mababait po ang mga employers, at madali na po para sa amin dahil nasa iisang location po ang mga napakaraming companies na pwede po naming pag‑applyan,” said Warlito Fernandez, a former messenger.
“The employers here are accommodating and friendly. Madaling madali mag‑apply. Nakatulong dahil air‑conditioned ang venue. Sulit ang time at energy. Pagdating mo rito, maraming employer ang naghihintay. Pipili ka na lang kung saan ka mag‑aapply,” added Hershey Figueroa, also from Charter Link.
Walk‑in applicant Jervy Guevarra was among those hired immediately. “Madali at mabilis lang ang hiring process — mga 30 minutes lang po. Masaya ako at may stabilidad na ako sa trabaho para sa pamilya ko,” he said.
The fair also featured booths for SSS Unemployment Insurance Benefits, the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program, the Emergency Employment Program, labor advisory, and help desk services. The activity was organized through CDC’s Corporate Social Responsibility and Placement Division under the External Affairs Department, headed by Assistant Vice President Rommel Narciso.
CDC said the activity is part of its socio‑economic mandate to provide employment opportunities and support for workers during transition.
