In a stunning display of musical prowess and fan dedication, Filipino boy band SB19 has achieved unprecedented success with their latest single “DAM”. This powerful anthem not only debuted at the top of the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart but also marked the group’s first entry into the UK charts, solidifying their status as trailblazers in the global music scene.
“DAM” made history by becoming the first song by a Filipino act to reach the No. 1 spot on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart. This achievement is a testament to SB19’s growing influence and the unwavering support of their fan base known as A’TIN. The song’s success was confirmed by Billboard on March 11, 2025, for the week of March 15, 2025.
This milestone is particularly notable as it prevented Nicki Minaj from securing another No. 1 spot on the chart. Minaj’s collaboration on “Eskimo” debuted at No. 2, just behind SB19’s “DAM”.
Beyond dominating the digital sales chart, “DAM” has propelled SB19 onto the UK music scene for the first time. The song debuted at No. 4 on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts, marking a significant entry into the UK market.
“DAM” is more than just a chart-topping hit; it represents a new chapter for SB19. The song is part of their upcoming EP, Simula at Wakas, set for release in April 2025. It combines elements from their previous hits, such as “What?” and “Gento”, while exploring new sonic territories. The track’s themes of resilience and perseverance have resonated deeply with fans worldwide, contributing to its viral success on platforms like TikTok and YouTube.
As SB19 continues to make waves internationally, they are gearing up for their Simula at Wakas World Tour, which kicks off at the Philippine Arena on May 31, 2025. The tour will take them across Asia, the Middle East, and North America, with notable stops in cities like Taipei, Singapore, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
Additionally, their journey will be documented in the film “Pagtatag!”, which is set to premiere at the Osaka Asian Film Festival on March 16 and 25, 2025. This documentary will provide fans with a deeper look into the group’s history and their path to global recognition.
SB19’s “DAM” is not just a song; it’s a cultural phenomenon that has bridged gaps between different music markets. By topping the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart and entering the UK charts, SB19 has proven that their music can resonate with audiences worldwide. As they embark on their world tour and share their story through “Pagtatag!” SB19 is poised to become a household name in the global music industry. #
