Can the vivo V70 FE keep up with the V70?
MANILA, Philippines — Smartphone brand vivo has detailed the imaging capabilities of its mid-range smartphone, the vivo V70 FE, demonstrating how its camera system performs alongside its more premium sibling, the vivo V70.
In a series of real-world comparative tests conducted in a restaurant setting, the vivo V70 FE delivered camera performance that closely matched the vivo V70, particularly in indoor and low-light scenarios. Equipped with a 200MP Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) Ultra-Clear Main Camera, the device produced detailed image output across multiple shooting conditions.
Using standard 1x Photo Mode, both smartphones were tested on architectural and long-distance image rendering from a fixed indoor vantage point. The scene included a residential neighborhood, a visible rainbow, and Mount Arayat in the background.
The vivo V70 FE captured a wide dynamic range while preserving structural detail and environmental gradients. Its high-resolution sensor maintained edge sharpness and clarity in distant subjects, producing image quality comparable to the vivo V70 in daylight conditions.
Additional tests evaluated specialized camera modes commonly used in everyday photography.
In 85mm Portrait Mode, both devices were used to photograph interior lighting fixtures to assess focal compression and depth simulation. Although the vivo V70 produced a creamier bokeh, the vivo V70 FE still effectively separated the foreground subject from the background, creating natural depth while preserving fine structural details.
For Food Mode, the smartphones were tested using a tiramisu dessert under warm restaurant lighting. The vivo V70 FE captured fine textures, including cocoa powder and layered cream, while maintaining balanced white tones despite challenging indoor lighting conditions.
The device’s imaging performance is supported by hardware designed to improve clarity and stability across various shooting environments. The vivo V70 FE features a 200MP OIS Ultra-Clear Main Camera with a 1/1.56-inch flagship-grade sensor, enabling greater light intake for improved image quality in varied lighting conditions. Compared with the previous-generation V60 Lite, the sensor delivers a 42% increase in light capture, supporting enhanced detail in both daytime and low-light photography.
The smartphone also incorporates vivo’s Ultra-Clear Imaging Engine, which uses multi-frame processing and computational imaging algorithms to optimize sharpness, exposure, and overall image composition.
Supporting the camera system is vivo’s self-developed OIS technology, rated at CIPA 4.0. The stabilization system enables faster shake compensation, helping reduce blur and improve handheld shooting performance, particularly in low-light or motion-heavy scenarios.
Beyond imaging, the vivo V70 FE also offers battery and charging capabilities designed to support extended daily use. The smartphone is equipped with a 7000mAh BlueVolt battery and 90W FlashCharge technology, enabling longer usage periods and faster recharging for users who rely on their devices for photography, content creation, and everyday multitasking.
The vivo V70 FE is available for as low as Php 25,999, which is a more accessible alternative to the vivo V70 while offering camera capabilities designed to compete within the premium smartphone segment.
