Barangay Maimpis Takes a Step Toward Digital Cityhood with Remote Employee Donation

City of San Fernando, Pampanga (December 18, 2023) – Barangay Maimpis took a significant step toward its digital transformation today with a generous donation from Remote Employee, a rapidly growing global BPO company. Led by CEO and Co-Founder Ruffy Galang, Remote Employee gifted 10 brand new PC units to the barangay, empowering both its Barangay Information Center and the newly established Community Learning Hub.

Five of the computers will bolster the Information Center, improving residents’ access to government services and information. The remaining five will equip the Community Learning Hub, a key initiative fostering digital literacy and skill development among residents. DOST R3 Provincial Director Mary Michelle Quiambao also commended the partnership, emphasizing the crucial role of technology in building resilient and empowered communities.
