Mu Week 2025: MAGNUS—Magnified by Glory, Forged by Legacy
The Mu Sigma Phi Fraternity and Sorority of the UP College of Medicine proudly present Mu Week 2025: MAGNUS—Magnified by Glory, Forged by Legacy.
Mu Week 2025 Events
Mu Week 2025, a celebration of their pride’s heritage, stands as a testament of their efforts in upholding the values of the noble medical profession and the mission of the UP College of Medicine to serve the underserved. Starting this coming August 18 to September 19, 2025, step into the grandeur of legacy and purpose with the men and women of the Mu Sigma Phi as they honor noble traditions and epitomize their four monumental Pillars through a series of inspiring and impactful events.
This momentous occasion will consist of captivating and fulfilling events, beginning with an Opening Ceremony on August 18, 2025. In this opening ceremony, come and witness the launching of their physical exhibit and embodying the legacy and glory of their organizations to welcome the start of Mu Week.
This will be followed by Mu Expedition on August 23, a fellowship hike to Mt. Kulis, kicking off the start of medical school, conquering towering peaks and inspiring more people as they campaign that disability is not an inability, proving that mountaineering has always been an inclusive activity.
Another annual activity is the legendary Fiesta at the Hut to be held on August 27 at the Portico Lobby. Through this long-standing tradition of bringing together generations of Mu Brods and Sisses with an epic fusion of flavors and festivities, they celebrate the Pillar of Brotherhood and Sisterhood.
Continuing Mu Week’s tradition of honoring legacy and inspiration, they celebrate Via Hereditas on August 28 at the Ramon Ang Auditorium, a memorial lecture series paying tribute to the rich history and shared identity of the Mu Sigma Phi and celebrating the lives, values, and legacies of Brods and Sisses whose journeys have shaped the fraternity across generations.
Upholding the Mu Sigma Phi’s Service Pillar, Mu Week also holds Lukso ng Dugo on September 1 at the Portico Lobby, a joint blood drive initiative of the Fraternity and Sorority, uniting partners, volunteers, and communities in support of the PGH Blood Bank.
Now in its 16th year, ImMUnity: Bakunadong Bayani, the flagship public health initiative of the Sorority, champions the importance of disease prevention through free vaccinations for the UP Manila and PGH community. Held on September 3 and 4 at the Portico lobby, they aim to protect health awareness and promote wellness, reaffirming the Sorority’s enduring commitment to self-denying Service.
As Mu Week progresses, the Brothers and Sisters of the Mu Sigma Phi will gather and offer their gratitude to the Almighty Father through the Thanksgiving Mass on September 5, to be held at the PGH Chapel at 12NN. This sacred gathering serves not only as thanks, but guidance in fulfilling their mission of self-denying service.
Lastly, the Brods and Sisses will also hold the long-awaited Mu Rock, the first and only rockeoke party in the UP College of Medicine—a vibrant night of music, fellowship, and celebration uniting the Mu Sigma Phi Fraternity and Sorority. Showcasing the enduring spirit of Brotherhood, Sisterhood, and holistic talent, Mu Rock gathers Brods, Sisses, alumni, and freshmen to honor achievements and close Mu Week 2025 on a high note. Tickets for this event are FREE for UPCM freshmen, and walk-ins will be accommodated. Here, sing your hearts out and channel your inner rockstarts for the night.
With so many exciting events in store, the Mu Sigma Phi Fraternity and Sorority would like to invite everyone to join them as they rise strong in the moments of triumph, celebrating a legacy magnified by glory and forged to endure.
