UP AES relaunches flagship event with PES 2025, tackles digital economy shift
The University of the Philippines Association of Economic Students (UP AES) relaunches its flagship event, the Philippine Economics Situationer (PES) 2025, on Thursday, April 10.
With the theme “Digital Horizons: Empowering the Philippines’ Economic Transformation,” PES returns to tackle the country’s economy, particularly the digital shifts in the financial sector. It also highlights the importance of digitalization in both the public and private financial sectors and its role in economic development.
Featured speakers include Mr. John G. Garcia, Wealth Management Customer Success Head of GCash; Mr. Warren Patrick T. Serrano, Division Chief of the SME Development Division of DTI Region 3; and Mr. John Crist Berso, owner of the top-selling TikTok Shop brand Braided Personality.
The event is part of UP AES’ Annual Econ Week, which is open to students, faculty, and economic practitioners.
