LausGroup of Companies, Ford Group Philippines, and Rise Against Hunger bring first-ever Mobile Kitchen outside Metro Manila to Pampanga through “Ford Building Together”

The LausGroup of Companies, in partnership with Ford Group Philippines and Rise Against Hunger Philippines, extended support to San Antonio Elementary School (SAES) in Bulaon, San Fernando, Pampanga today, September 18, 2025, through Ford Building Together, a special feeding and relief distribution activity that provided 500 hot meals and 500 relief packs to students.
The activity, held within the school grounds, marked the first time Rise Against Hunger Philippines deployed its mobile kitchen outside Metro Manila. This milestone initiative was made possible through the collective efforts of Ford Group Philippines, Laus Ford volunteers, and the Levy P. Laus Foundation — the corporate social responsibility arm of the LausGroup of Companies.
San Antonio Elementary School, one of seven schools located within the Bulaon Resettlement School Compound, was chosen as the beneficiary for this activity due to its large student population and consistent academic performance, making it a meaningful partner for the initiative.
“Today, we’re not just donating meals and goods; we’re investing in the future,” said Ms. Lisset Laus-Velasco, Chairman and CEO of the LausGroup of Companies. “We believe no child should have to learn on an empty stomach. Hunger is a huge barrier to education, and through this initiative, we are giving students a better chance to succeed in school and in life.”
The Ford Building Together initiative was organized as part of Ford’s Global Caring Month, an annual global volunteer program where employees and affiliates unite to make a positive impact in their communities.
LausGroup has partnered with Rise Against Hunger Philippines for the third consecutive time to help address child food insecurity. Represented by Jhamer Khan and his team, the organization brought its expertise and resources to ensure the success of the initiative.
The activity began with a short welcoming program and concluded with the distribution of hot meals and relief packs to SAES students, leaving smiles on the children’s faces and hope in the community. #
