Habagat damages bridge in Tarlac, irrigation canal collapses in Pampanga
Torrential rains have severely damaged parts of the Sta. Lucia Bangot Bridge in Capas, according to the Capas Information Office on Wednesday, July 23.

The rushing floodwaters caused by continuous rainfall led to the destruction of key sections of the bridge, raising concerns over road safety and accessibility in the area.
Authorities reported that water levels in the nearby river continue to rise as downpours persist across the province. Local officials are currently monitoring the situation.
Meanwhile, in Guagua, Pampanga, a portion of an irrigation canal in Sitio Ligaya, Barangay Pulungmasle collapsed on Tuesday.

The Guagua Information Office attributed the incident to soil weakening brought on by prolonged rainfall.
Barangay officials remain on alert and are closely monitoring residents who may be affected by the collapse.
As of press time, the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) has yet to release an official report on the total cost of infrastructure damage across the region. Local governments continue to coordinate with disaster response agencies to assess the full extent of the impact. #
