Coffee shop employees chipped in from their salaries to set up community pantry
Encouraged by the kindness of community pantries all over the country, Metrobean Coffee + Bistro staff contributed from their salaries to set up their own community pantry that can be found in their two branches at City of San Fernando and Angeles City.
Now, this act of generosity is helping around 50 cabalens who are struggling in this time of pandemic. According to the management, it’s also their way of saying thanks to everyone who have supported their local business.
“Naniniwala po kami na walang maliit na tulong ang di lumalaki sa pagsasama sama ng Komunidad. Maging inspirasyon din po sana ito sa lahat para mas lumawak at mas madami ang mabahagian ng tulong sa kahit maliit man na paraan.”

Part of their daily sales are also shared to replenish the groceries in their community pantry. They’re also selling delicious leche flans where all of its sales are allotted to the pantry. They hope that this goodwill can also spark others to do something that can help out the less fortunate.
For those who are in need or wants to donate, Metrobean Coffee + Bistro community pantry is open from 1PM – 5PM everyday.
