The Provincial Government of Bulacan honored its local government units (LGUs) through the Bulacan Excellence in Tourism (BET) Awards for their outstanding contributions to the province’s tourism sector held at the Municipal Building of Doña Remedios Trinidad last February 20, 2025. 

The awards ceremony highlighted the crucial role of efficient data management and innovative tourism strategies in boosting economic growth and community engagement.

Winners

Special Citation – Tourism Data Management Award

• Calumpit, Pulilan, and Pandi were recognized for their notable efforts in organizing and submitting tourism data. This award emphasizes the importance of accurate data in planning and promoting tourism initiatives effectively.
  

Highly Efficient Tourism Data Management Award

• The Municipal Government of Bocaue stood out for its exceptional efficiency and accuracy in managing tourism data. Other notable LGUs, including San Jose del Monte, Paombong, San Ildefonso, San Miguel, Marilao, and Angat, were also commended for their efforts. Efficient data management is crucial for making informed decisions that enhance the tourism experience and attract more visitors.

Local Government Unit with Highest Tourism Receipt Award

• The City Government of San Jose del Monte received this award for generating significant tourism revenue, contributing substantially to the province’s economic growth. This achievement demonstrates how effective tourism strategies can translate into tangible economic benefits.

• The top destinations were celebrated for their popularity and visitor appeal:
  
  1. Rising City of San Jose del Monte – With over 1.7 million tourist arrivals, it claimed the top spot, showcasing its dedication to promoting tourism and cultural heritage.
     
  2. Municipal Government of Norzagaray – Ranked second, Norzagaray’s tourist spots have captured the hearts of visitors, highlighting Bulacan’s rich culture and landscapes.
     
  3. Municipal Government of Bocaue – Known for its vibrant heritage and natural beauty.
