Anne Curtis endorses Akbayan Partylist, lauds its solid track record of championing relevant laws
Less than a week before elections, Actress and TV host Anne Curtis has expressed her full support for Akbayan Partylist and its First Nominee Chel Diokno citing their solid track record of championing relevant laws that are beneficial to the Filipino people.
“Atty Chel Diokno, someone na pwedeng pagkatiwalaan. I have been following his work and walang sawa sya sa pagbigay ng legal knowledge, empowering us Filipinos to know what our rights are. Nasa kanya ang tiwala ko. You may also do your research about him! But please was natin gawin TOTGA (The one that got away),” Anne said on Facebook.
“Sa May 12, vote #51AkbayanPartylist! Huwag gawing TOTGA si Atty. Chel Diokno,” she added.
Anne also praised Akbayan’s legislative track record, highlighting key landmark laws championed by the party, including the Expanded Maternity Leave Law, Safe Spaces Act or the Bawal Bastos Law, and Cheaper Medicines Law.
“Ngayon, si Atty. Chel Diokno ang first nominee ng 51 Akbayan Partylist. Kasing tapang at husay ni Sen. Risa Hontiveros, tutumbasan niya sa Kongreso ang laban ni Risa sa Senado,” she stressed.
Akbayan, for its part, thanked Anne for her endorsement, saying “Maraming salamat sa pagmamahal at pag-Akbay, Anne Curtis. Ipanalo na natin ‘to. ‘Pag mahal mo, Akbayan mo! Iboto ang 51 Akbayan Partylist!” #
